Naughty Dog Takes a Bold Leap into Sci-Fi with Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet

The most surprising announcement, however, has been in The Game Awards 2024 in the form of Naughty Dog, creators of The Last of Us and the Uncharted franchise. This studio announced their new IP with Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Meet Jordan A. Mun

Players will assume the role of Jordan A. Mun, played by talented Tatiana Gabrielle, who was recently a part of the HBO series The Last of Us as Nora. Jordan is a fearlessness bounty hunter whose mission to the mysterious planet of Sempiria which appears to be an easy trip turns quickly into something more sinister.

A Planet of No Return

One of the most interesting game elements is that Sempiria is a planet that has remained incommunicative with the rest of the universe for over 600 years. She warned others that this planet is cursed, and yet, Jordan goes into the journey only to become stranded on its surface. It’s around the desperate attempt from her in becoming the first person after six centuries in trying to escape the planet’s orbit.

A Star-Studded Production

Directed by the creative genius that leads the project, Neil Druckmann, of The Last of Us, comes also the game’s addition from an Academy Award-winning status soundtrack composer Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross on providing their talents to ensure atmospheric listening depth at delivering even such mystery.

Advanced Technology

The reveal trailer is sure to be in-engine also. It does flaunt Naughty Dog’s technical prowess. As for the players, be prepared for a unique convergence of lo-fi technology and futurism, complete with Jordan’s striking Porsche-branded spaceship that comes outfitted with a nostalgic CD player.
